NEW NOVEL JUST RELEASED
Careful What You Wish For, an exceptional novel by Anne Katheryn Hawley.
Drowning was not exactly what Meggie had planned on, but ironically, it was drowning that saved her life ... and her marriage ... and possibly her soul. This is a twisting tale of fate, with a woven thread of spirituality. Things are not always what they seem. Expect the unexpected, and be careful what you wish for!
"Another page-turner by Anne Katheryn Hawley!
Her uncanny knack for probing unobtrusively into the foibles of human nature once again brings us face-to-face with our own demons. The reader is effortlessly pulled into the lives of her well-crafted characters. We love a book that makes us feel as well as think, and Anne is so very good at that!"
If you liked The Girl on the Train or Gone Girl, you will love Worth More Dead!
Worth More Dead, the debut novel by Anne Katheryn Hawley, is a psychological thriller about a dangerously dysfunctional family, where the rivalry and jealousy between three sisters is raw and palpable.
Poor judgment, impulsive decisions, and naughty behavior result in a horrific tragedy - for which everyone pays a dear price.
Praise for Worth More Dead
"The twist at the end was quite a surprise, though in retrospect was very well-crafted throughout the story. Intriguing first novel for this talented writer. We'll be hearing more about her in the near future."

The Morning After I Killed Myself
This piece of work, very different than my usual storytelling, was written following a near tragedy involving someone I love very much. I wrote it during a time of desperation, hoping to make this person see how foolish it was to consider a permanent solution to a temporary situation. At the time, I had not intended on publishing it, or making it public in any way, shape or form. I have since changed my mind, with the idea that if it touches only one person in such a way as to help them see their lives in a different light, inspiring change and hope for that person’s future, then the writing and sharing of this prose is well worth it. We all struggle at times – life can be very difficult, sometimes overwhelming. Perhaps somebody reading this will also realize that they are not alone in their thoughts and troubles, which may make it easier for them to seek assistance. I sincerely hope and pray that anyone facing these kinds of demons will find strength by reaching out to God.
The morning after I killed myself my earthly body no longer existed, but my thoughts and feelings had strangely survived the trauma of an ugly death. Here’s the thing though—the clarity of my thoughts and the intensity of my feelings were suddenly magnified and sincere without the influence of the drugs and alcohol I had poisoned my body with.
Who knew it could be like this? I most certainly didn’t. The contrast between this unexpected clarity and intensity and my previous state of being, which included muddled thoughts, a numbness of mind and body continuously perpetuated by the drugs and alcohol, was shocking to me. Here I was – dead … and yet all of a sudden felt alive! There was only one big problem with this. I was dead.
